May Outing — Start Thinking
FYI….
Our May campout is scheduled for May 20-22
Location = Kelly Island State park in Ohio. This park is located on Kelly’s Island.
This is a tent outing. we are camping in the group organization area.
To get to the island, we need to take a ferry boat ride, about a 20 minute ride.
Soooooo….
We need to make reservations for the ferry boat. So, please start thinking about this outing.
We will be accelerating the signup for this outing by one week. All permission slips and money will be due May 9. permission slip will be coming out soon.
Cost for the outing is estimated at $20/head.. same as usual.
Ferry boat cost will be covered by the troop.

Wass Subdivision Easter Egg Hunt
In case you did not hear OR the info got scrambled……
Each year, we help the Wass subdivision with their annual Easter Egg Hunt. The event is:
- when — this Saturday
- time — 9:30-11am
- where — Cliffside Park
what we do is… arrive about 9:30am Saturday.. clean up the park, rope off various areas for the kids… the whistle blows at 10:30am… the “hunt” is over in about 3 minutes….. then we take down the ropes…. Clean up and leave.
If any scout wishes to help, great…. Be at Cliffside Park at 9:30am Saturday. The entrance is on Cliffside between Rutgers and Highbury. See attached map for those unfamiliar with the area.
Scouts are to be in class “B” uniform for this event. This also counts as service time if needed.
If anyone is coming to help, send me a reply so i know.

ATTENTION: Scoutnet.org is being shut off
I learned thru Roundtable last week that the BSA is shutting down the on-line Scoutnet system. The system is failing and they are in-process of replacing it.
What does this mean to you???? This effects MyScouting.org. this area is being shutdown…. SOOOO.. if you have taken ANY on-line training courses, I highly recommend you go into the system, and make sure you have printed off all your certificates.
Also.. if your YPT certificate expires in the next 9 months I HIGHLY encourage you to take the refresher course and get –recertified. Council has not made any provisions for YOT training outside of the on-line system
This shutdown starts MARCH 1 … yes in one week,,, I am just the messenger here.. you have as much lead time as I do.

February Outing Permission Slip
For those that were absent this past Monday night, attached is the permission slip for the upcoming outing
Since Monday, Feb 21st is winter break and there is no school, our paperwork and planning for this outing has been accelerated.
Permission slip and money are due this coming Monday for the Feb 25-27 TENT outing at d-a.
